Ottawa Blues Cruise 2001

Here's my record of a very successful, sold out, blues cruise sponsored by M & T Glass and the brainchild of chief organizer, Claude Lachaine, ably assisted by his brother, Roger, and everyone else they got involved.

The cruise left the Pointe Gatineau dock shortly after
3 pm on Sunday, 9th September 2001. The music opened with a blues-rock band called Quicksand who got things underway in infectious style and had the dance floor filled in short order.

Tony D with special guest, Trevor Finlay, filled the boat and general surrounding area with their very danceable blues and R & B sounds. They kept the dance floor filled for two sets in spite of the heat of a very summery day.

The organizers had arranged for a well provided cold buffet of salads, sandwiches, veggies and dessert that hit the spot quite nicely. A boat full of very happy blues fans arrived back at the Pointe Gatineau dock along
about 8 pm.

I'm looking forward to the next cruise and if you missed this
one, make sure you make the next. These are some of the 325
people who were glad they got tickets.

Well done, guys!

Do it again next year!
