Café Paradiso is not your average bistro. Located at 199 Bank Street, it specializes in a global approach to cuisine.

The bistro complements its regular tasty treats with some tasty jazz now from Wednesdays to Saturdays. The jazz project is under the music directorship of Gerry Shatford, an ex-patriate Montrealer who's come to Ottawa via Vancouver, working with such local artists as John Geggie, Rob Frayne and Roddy Elias and vocalists Diane White and Christine Fagan.

Café Paradiso features the finest local talent as well as special guests drawn from Gerry's extensive network of Montreal connections. From time to time a special jazz and dinner night is presented with jazz legends such as Billy Robinson and Michael Donato.

Enjoy Paradiso's interesting casual meals and appetizers. For the full menu consult the Café Paradiso web site.

On any given jazz night at Café Paradiso, you can expect to hear the music of Ottawa's premier jazz artists. From Montreal, featured artists such as André White, Greg Amirault and Dave Laing will often be featured on Saturdays. Check the daily jazz listings in the Ottawa Blues, Jazz & Swing Guide for upcoming performances.
