Following a hugely successful debut appearance at the recent Thunder Bay
Blues Fest, where she wowed a full house, sold all her cds, and was
featured in the Chronicle Journal's front page festival wrap-up,
Winnipeg's own Tracy K brings that well-earned buzz and her acclaimed
vocal and harmonica talents to the Great Woods Music Festival on Saturday,
August 10, 2002 for a main stage performance and a live recording.
Just a short 35 - 45 minute drive east of Winnipeg, on the edge of Beausejour, Great Woods boasts a sparkling line-up of talent and Tracy K's live recording is added incentive to come out for the day or the whole weekend.
Her set will start at 4:30 and last for over an hour. Be part of the action and get your shouts and whistles heard!!! Gate admission gets you in on the fun.
Tracy K's next cd is in the works, and some of the live tracks could be part of that recording. She will be going into the studio this winter to record new material which leans heavily to blues/roots and rock area. The tracks will also feature more of her harpwork, for which fans have been clamoring at gigs and on tours. In a male-dominated world of harp players, Tracy more than holds her own, and "sets it on fire", a nice accollade.
